Concert Tickets blah

I was completely new to listening to music from an orchestra let alone one that features Wynton Marsalis jazz music as well. There wasn't a difficulty in understanding his music but to analyze it to describe his harmony with the orchestra behind him would be the challenge. At first I thought the concert ticket would be a problem but it wasn't hard to come up with $38 and get in. After witnessing and hearing the concert I'm in doubt of delivering a decent ethnography report on jazz with an orchestra but I'll try to get some of the terminology right at least and the time and space of the music.

  1. The musical ethnography does not involve describing the musical form or specific aspects of music. Instead, you are writing about the music culture. In terms of Ideas About Music, you can include any musical aspects which stand out (i.e. improvisation, particular instruments who play solos, etc.). Yes, you can include some additional musical vocabulary, but it would be more beneficial to further expand on the aspects you are more comfortable describing than to throw out terminology.
